This page is proudly part of the /now community by Derek Sivers and also part of About Ideas Now community. All those communities include this page π. Yet I do not count traffic on this website, I do not care about stats and analytics or clicks, I'm just trying to know what content is interesting if possible so I know which pages I should keep up-to-date. I write for myself and because I love blogging. Enjoy !

Misc
- ποΈ 2025 / April
- I still think about my brother living in France whom I have lost touch with. Bro, if you read this, call me anytime, your godson and I miss you!
- My partner and my boy went on the sea side for a couple days, which allowed me to catch up every evening with some beloved projects and tv shows.
- We prepare for moving out of Brussels, we will move to Bovesse. Also we will welcome our fourth family member in September β€οΈ.
- ποΈ 2025 / January
Big updates are in progress, but I can't yet disclose anything.
I'm preparing to attend FOSDEM in Brussels, Belgium! It's my favorite and free conference for nerds. - ποΈ 2025-01-08
I'm replacing Google Mail/Calendar with Fastmail.
I'm replacing Google Tasks with TickTick.
I'm trying Plex TV as an alternative to Netflix/Prime/Disney subscriptions. - ποΈ 2024-11-29
I'm replacing n8n with php scripts ran through cron jobs on a Cloudron LAMP application, thanks to LLM for easing the migration. - ποΈ 2024-10-28
π My frustration towards bookmarks management tools keeps growing as the tools I try are rarely features complete : Shaarli lacks a tags engine and lacks content caching, Wallabag lacks a good search, Linkwarden is buggy and its content search is broken for imported links, etc. Other tools in CLI are great but I want something web oriented that I can host on Cloudron. So I'm working on a project named Tapas, which I explain under Ideas. - 𧱠Lego was really part of my life and is back with my little one.
- βοΈ I'm taking a break with some of my daily news subscriptions: Stuut, Revue Silence, Marianne, Mediapart, @Westenberg Tech + Politics + Humans, MrMondialisation, Next, Framablog - Khrysβpresso, Bon Pote, etc. reason being this was a lot of negative karma on a daily basis, way too much for me, and despite all the filters I had set up on Miniflux, I was still feeling overwhelmed due to all of this.
- π«’ I documented things I like too much in my /guilty pleasures. Maybe that could be a meta thing like /ideas, /now, /uses.
- πͺπ» If you want to know what initiatives I support, and if you want to support me or say thanks, visit my new /support page !
- π§ The Bombo Podcast (food, art, design, creators) is worth listening to for french speaking audience and deserves that I speak about it especially if you prefer to listen to people interesting stories while relaxing rather than the usual "learn something new with this podcast".
- πΏοΈ I've a huge collection of CDs that I didn't hear in a long time and I've recently bought CD music player from KLIM on Amazon and I've yet to complete my collection, hence if you want to help me completing my wishlist, visit my new /support page!
πΌ Work
- π€Ή Freelancer and co-owner of Zoemp SRL with my partner since April 2022.
- π¨π»βπ DevOps / SRE at Ibanity In Brussels, Belgium since Winter 2023.
- ποΈ Despite my colleagues work from home 4/5 days, I continue to go to the office, it's a preference, I've already covered that in the past. Anyway my partner asked what if I could set a nice home office, my main concern is probably
- 1) Costs!
- 2) I don't want something that makes my back suffer.
- 3) I shall probably write a blog post soon about the other points π...
π©Ί Health and Sport and Well being
Well being
- πͺ Without enough sleep, I'm a mess. And screens lights make it very difficult to find sleep. And being an ADHD programmer too.
- π€― Paperwork/administrative work drains my energy. Instead I like to eliminate, automate, delegate, reduce, simplify, you name it. But there is so much paperwork beyond what I can manage it's something I struggle still with as freelancer. And I'm not alone on this crusade.
- π€ I've been lately diagnosed with Autism, at the age of 37. That's not changing my life, but it helps to understand a few things. A lot of people are concerned with the autism spectrum disorder and it's not always obvious for them, it wasn't for me neither and I keep educating myself on this topic. I recommend this good blog Autistic As Fxxk full of resources.
- π€« I like to isolate myself from external noise and energy draining environments and people, I need time, quiet, peace, calm and simple things in order to recharge. Γ, rather, I need a fewer things. I like to remove, destroy, throw away things that do not cause me stress to have them.
Activities
- π§π»I'm climbing, mostly indoor, in Brussels.
- πΆπ»I walk and relax and chill rather than running. See also Marcher la vie : Un art tranquille du bonheur.
- π₯΅ I believe that any sport should first be relaxing and safe, and suffering is not a goal. We have nothing to prove ourselves and extreme sports are, think again, extreme.
Projects
I'm now sharing my blog posts and project brain farts in Ideas.
ποΈ Culture

Novels / Essays
- π π§ I'm listening to the Audio book of Nexus, by Yuval Noah Harari.
- π¨βπ» I've acquired a digital copy of Sustainable Dev Environments with Docker and Bash, a Book by David Bryant Copeland, about building development environments that just work, while I see too often developers fighting their local development environment, and I aim to win this fight. Yet I'm quite disappointed by the reading. Not so much I can reuse.
- π I like the idea of anti library, also named Tsundoku (η©γθͺ?). TLDR unread books are useful as a messy and inspiring pile ποΈποΈποΈ.
- π ποΈβπ¨οΈ I'm deep into T2 of Red Rising saga by Pierce Brown, which is the story of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom.
- π I recommend reading La Horde du Contrevent and La Zone du Dehors by Alain Damasio.
- ποΈ Wanna read some work of Derek Sivers or maybe Douglas Rushkoff or Tim Ferris
- Or maybe I should just relax instead and keep watching movies.
- Or let go of things and to-dos and goals for a while.

π¬οΈ Movies and TV Shows
I used to know every movie, but I'm giving up on staying up-to-date. It's just too much for me while already dealing with too many other things. Anyway I keep watching archiving my favorite movies and tv shows and grow my collection on Plex for ease of watching them everywhere.

- Current:
- My 4YO enjoys watching The Mask a couple times a week.
- Black Mirror (S07) on Plex.
